ANNOUNCEMENTS

————————————

WELCOME! We welcome all who are visiting Trinity. If you wish to become a member or associate member, please speak with Pastor Flohrs

NAME TAGS Please, wear your name tags so that we have a chance to get to know each other. Should you not have a name tag (in your narthex mailbox) please contact the church office.

CHILDREN ARE WELCOME in our services. Parents introducing their kids to worship may find it helpful to use the “Z” room, which is to the left of the sanctuary and has been outfitted with speakers so you can hear the service.

SANCTUARY RINGERS Trinity’s handbell choir has resumed weekly rehearsals. Please join us Monday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm for informal workshops during July and August.

SANCTUARY CHOIR welcomes new singers in all voices, but particularly Tenors and Basses! Starting 19 August, rehearsals will be Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the Utatu Room. For more information, contact Jerrode Marsh, Director of Choirs via the church office .

ADDITIONAL PARKING can be found at #32 Adickes-/Nibelungenallee at the building of the former Oberfinanzdirektion, which is the driveway immediately after the entrance to the car wash (going west toward A66). Please note the map on the bulletin board in the narthex.

GOING GREEN - RECYCLING AT TRINITY Please help us preserve the earth by disposing of Styrofoam and plastic cups in the recyclable (Gelber Sack) container and all paper/cardboard items in the “paper only” container. Thank you!

INSPIRATION AT NOON Every Wednesday in July and August at 12 noon there will be an organ meditation at Alte Nikolaikirche on the Römerberg in Frankfurt. Following the meditations (in English and German) there will be refreshments, time for discussion, and a chance to climb the tower of the Alte Nikolaikirche with a magnificent view over the Römerberg. The meditation on August 25 will be led by Pastor Flohrs.

“IT” SUPPORT NEEDED! Trinity’s office is looking for IT support and advisor. If you have expertise and experience in this area and would like to serve Trinity with your time and talents, please contact the church office as soon as possible.

CHRISTIAN LIFE/ ECUMENICALLY ACTIVE TOGETHER EVENT On Friday, September 3, at 6:00 pm we will serve wine and cheese to give us a chance to catch up on everyone’s summer activities. Following will be a PowerPoint presentation by Matthias Lehnert from the Oikocredit Hessen-Pfalz Bank, Frankfurt. This organization makes mini-loans to individuals or co-ops in Third World countries to enable them to start small businesses that eventually help them become more independent. Herr Lehnert will also tell us about his most recent trips to Africa and the projects which are being funded there through these loans. Reserve the date now and bring a friend.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PLAYGROUP With an eye toward service and outreach to the community and toward utilizing our facility to its fullest, we feel we are in an ideal location to offer an English language playgroup. If you missed the first planning meeting on Tuesday, 20 July, but are interested and willing to help with this project, please contact the church office as soon as possible.

CAR FOR SALE Brent Smith is selling a VW Jetta. Please find all the details on the flyer which has been posted in the narthex and contact Brent directly if you are interested.

ALUMNI DIRECTORY Please send your address, e-mail address and phone, along with the years you were members/friends of Trinity, to the Parish Worker for inclusion in the alumni directory.

COFFEE HOUR The area behind the church will be open for the children to use during the coffee hour, as opposed to the area in front of the church. Access to the yard is through the kitchen. Parents are welcome to take their coffee outside, too. We will try to have a “Guardian Angel” scheduled every Sunday to help watch over the children.

flowers-for-sundayFLOWER DONATIONS Reminder! There is a sign-up sheet and envelopes for payment in the narthex if you’d like to donate the flowers we have at the altar each Sunday. These bouquets are € 13 each and are provided by the local florist. Please fill out the envelope and place it in the offering basket so we know for what occasion they’re being donated and can announce it in the bulletin. You may take your flowers home after the worship service. If you prefer to pay via bank transfer please mark your payment clearly and include the date for which you wish to donate flowers. If you have any questions, please contact the church office . Thanks!

OFFERINGS IN DOLLARS OR EURO Most of our financial obligations are in Euro. You are welcome to give in US Dollars or Euro. If you wish to make your donations to Trinity with an Ueberweisung, the church account number is 59 98 95-607, Post Bank, BLZ 500 100 60. In order for the church to provide you with a record of your giving, you must use the numbered offering envelopes or use direct bank transfer via Ueberweisungen. Loose offerings (offerings not in envelopes) are not recorded individually and so we are unable to provide you with a comprehensive total for tax purposes at year end. Members are always, of course, free to make donations anonymously.

SAVE YOUR STAMPS In the back of the church is a green box to collect your cancelled stamps. We pass them on to Nieder-Ramstädter Diakonie Werkstatt where they provide work for handicapped people.

STARS AND STRIPES NEWSPAPER Sunday edition is available at church. The newspapers can be found in the back of the church on top of the bookcase. Please be sure to deposit your donation of $ 1.00 or € 0.80 in the labeled tin can.
