ANNOUNCEMENTS
————————————
WELCOME! We welcome all who are visiting Trinity. If you wish to become a member or associate member, please speak with Pastor Flohrs
NAME TAGS Please, wear your name tags so that we have a chance to get to know each other. Should you not have a name tag (in your narthex mailbox) please contact the church office.
CHILDREN ARE WELCOME in our services. Parents introducing their kids to worship may find it helpful to use the “Z” room, which is to the left of the sanctuary and has been outfitted with speakers so you can hear the service.
SOUP SUPPER AND LENTEN MEDITATIONS Beginning Wednesday, February 24, we will have mid-week Lenten meditations. We will begin at 7pm with a soup supper, followed by a devotion. All are welcome!
The planned devotions are:
- 10 March - His Faithful Feet - Matthew 28:9
- 17 March - The Savior’s Side - John 19:28-35
- 24 March - His Broken Bones - John 19:31-36
The sign up sheet for preparing soup has been filled. Those not preparing the soup, please bring bread/crackers to share. Contact Bob Colvin or the church office if you have questions.
EASTER BREAKFAST Plan to partake of some yummy treats as well as Christian fellowship at Trinity Lutheran’s annual Potluck Easter Breakfast starting at 9 am on Easter Sunday, April 4, in the sanctuary, prior to the worship service at 11 am. Please bring your favorite breakfast dish or food to share with others. Coffee, tea, juice, and water as well as tableware are provided. Questions? Contact the church office or Christian Life co-deacons Lorenz Vasanth or Bob Colvin.
HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF If you wish to make a monetary donation towards the Haiti Earthquake relief, please pick up a flyer from LC-MS on the brochure table in the back or contact Peter Brinkmann (Outreach & Concern) or the church office for other possibilities. Also check out Lutheran World Relief, ELCA Disaster Response, LCMS World Relief/Human Care, WELS Committee on Relief, and Thrivent. Thrivent will match your donation with 1 $ for every 2 $ you give. Follow this link for Thrivent https://www.thrivent.com/helpinghaiti/index.html
COINS FOR KIDS is on the first Sunday of each month. Any loose change from the offering baskets will be collected to raise funds for the Lighthouse program. Lighthouse blesses so many moms and kids in our congregation and community through music and Bible study. Thank you for your support!
LIGHTHOUSE VIDEOS If you’d like to see videos of our Little Lamps & Lamplight Kids, please follow the Lighthouse link. The most recent videos of the children’s musical presentations can be found there.
ADDITIONAL PARKING can be found at #32 Adickes-/Nibelungenallee at the Oberfinanzdirektion, which is the driveway immediately after the entrance to the car wash (going west toward A66). Please note the map on the bulletin board in the narthex.
ECUMENICALLY ACTIVE TOGETHER is organizing a trip to the Ronneburg, on Saturday, March 27th leaving from the parking area of Christ the King at 11:00 am. The Ronneburg hosts Medieval Eastermarket. There will be historical crafts and marketers, gold- and silversmith, basket makers, saddlers, potters, spinners, spoon makers, button makers, tanners, glassblowers, wood turners and other almost extinct guilds. You’ll find good food and drink and entertainment as well. Easter decorations from the “Lausitz” (eastern part of Germany close to Poland) and “Bohemia” will be available.
A car pool is organized by Monica Mueller-Roemer. Please contact her and also check http://www.burg-ronneburg.de/cms/ for more details. The entrance fee is EUR 4.50.
GOING GREEN - RECYCLING AT TRINITY Please help us preserve the earth by disposing of Styrofoam and plastic cups in the recyclable (Gelber Sack) container and all paper/cardboard items in the “paper only” container. Thank you!
CONTEMPORARY PRAISE SERVICE - Our Contemporary Praise Service has been suspended until further notice. Please come back later for more information.
ALUMNI DIRECTORY Please send your address, e-mail address and phone, along with the years you were members/friends of Trinity, to the Parish Worker for inclusion in the alumni directory.
COFFEE HOUR The area behind the church will be open for the children to use during the coffee hour, as opposed to the area in front of the church. Access to the yard is through the kitchen. Parents are welcome to take their coffee outside, too. We will try to have a “Guardian Angel” scheduled every Sunday to help watch over the children.
FLOWER DONATIONS Reminder! There is a sign-up sheet and envelopes for payment in the narthex if you’d like to donate the flowers we have at the altar each Sunday. These bouquets are € 13 each and are provided by the local florist. Please fill out the envelope and place it in the offering basket so we know for what occasion they’re being donated and can announce it in the bulletin. You may take your flowers home after the worship service. If you prefer to pay via bank transfer please mark your payment clearly and include the date for which you wish to donate flowers. A sign-up sheet for Easter Lilies for Easter Sunday (4 April 2010) has been posted. If you have any questions, please contact the church office . Thanks!
OFFERINGS IN DOLLARS OR EURO Most of our financial obligations are in Euro. You are welcome to give in US Dollars or Euro. If you wish to make your donations to Trinity with an Ueberweisung, the church account number is 59 98 95-607, Post Bank, BLZ 500 100 60. In order for the church to provide you with a record of your giving, you must use the numbered offering envelopes or use direct bank transfer via Ueberweisungen. Loose offerings (offerings not in envelopes) are not recorded individually and so we are unable to provide you with a comprehensive total for tax purposes at year end. Members are always, of course, free to make donations anonymously.
SAVE YOUR STAMPS In the back of the church is a green box to collect your cancelled stamps. We pass them on to Nieder-Ramstädter Diakonie Werkstatt where they provide work for handicapped people.
STARS AND STRIPES NEWSPAPER Sunday edition is available at church. The newspapers can be found in the back of the church on top of the bookcase. Please be sure to deposit your donation of $ 1.00 or € 0.80 in the labeled tin can.
